20 design styles for a landing page

The design of a landing page is not decoration. It is what the visitor understands about the business before reading a word. That is why every page we build is built in the style chosen for it, and the style decides not only colors and fonts but also the structure of the headlines, the gallery, the motion and the texture.

All the styles

  • MinimalismPlenty of white space, a restrained palette with one accent color and sharp type. For when the message has to stand on its own.
  • MaximalismLayers, bold patterns and saturated colors that clash on purpose. A page nobody scrolls past without stopping.
  • FuturisticGlossy surfaces, glowing edges and a dark background with neon highlights. The language of technology and new products.
  • Vector ArtFlat vector illustration, geometric shapes and an even line. Explains processes and complex products clearly.
  • Collage ArtA collage of torn paper, stickers and tape. Playful, personal and unexpected.
  • RetroA warm, faded palette, shapes from the fifties and sixties and a grainy texture. The nostalgia of classic advertising.
  • CyberpunkA dark world with high-contrast neon and holographic details. For a young audience and products with character.
  • Pop ArtHalftone dots, thick outlines and primary colors. The energy of a comic book.
  • GlassmorphismSemi-transparent glass panels with a soft blur over a colorful background. Light and modern.
  • Clay StyleRounded shapes that look like modeling clay, in a pastel palette. Warm, friendly and playful.
  • Pixel Art8-bit and 16-bit game pixels and game-interface frames. Humor and childhood memories.
  • EditorialSerif type, an orderly grid and prominent pull quotes. A page that reads like a magazine feature.
  • Y2KChrome, holographic shine and the bubble shapes of the late nineties. Optimistic and sparkling.
  • Swiss DesignA strict asymmetric grid, sans-serif headlines and a palette of red, black and white. Functional and precise.
  • SurrealImpossible compositions, floating objects and plays on scale. A page that stays in the memory.
  • BohemianTerracotta and ochre, hand-painted textures and botanical motifs. Warm, organic and artistic.
  • VictorianEngraved frames, ornaments and deep jewel tones. Old-world luxury.
  • GraffitiSpray tags, dripping paint and a concrete texture. Street energy.
  • AuroraBands of teal, purple and magenta gradient over a dark background, like the northern lights. Atmospheric and soft.
  • HandwrittenMarker and brush handwriting, doodles and a notebook texture. Personal and human.

A style is more than a color

In most page builders, a "style" is a color scheme on the same template. With us every style has its own structural language: what the headline looks like, whether there is asymmetry, how the sections are separated, how the gallery is built, how much motion there is and how it behaves on a phone. The palette is derived from your logo, so even two businesses that chose the same style get two different pages.

There are also limits that do not move: on a phone the motion is reduced, heavy effects like parallax are turned off, and the contrast is checked so the text is readable in every style, including the dark ones.

How to choose

  • Professional services that rely on trust (consulting, appraisal, law): Minimalism, Editorial, Swiss Design.
  • Businesses that sell an experience or joy (events, kids, leisure): Pop Art, Maximalism, Clay Style, Pixel Art.
  • Technology, cars and new products: Futuristic, Cyberpunk, Glassmorphism, Y2K, Aurora.
  • Businesses with a personal touch (therapists, artists, restaurants): Bohemian, Handwritten, Retro, Collage Art.
  • Brands that want to stand out in a gray industry: Graffiti, Surreal, Victorian.

These are starting points, not rules. The water-pumps example in Graffiti was chosen precisely because it is unexpected.

See the styles on real pages

In landing page examples there are ten pages built in ten different styles. On the order screen itself you can browse the styles and see each one full size, and for every page in the package you choose a style in the brief.
